Tigers

This room provides provision for children aged approximately between 2 1/2 years to 3 1/2 years.

The room consists of a large free play area, where children have the opportunity to play on the ‘construction site’, and various self contained smaller rooms which include, ‘art attack’, ‘ocean room’, ‘Granny May’s cottage’ and ‘little explorers’.


All of these areas provide opportunities for children to independently explore their environment and resources.

Throughout the nursery the nursery the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is followed and staff plan activities to suit each child’s individual needs.


 Staff recognised that child is an individual and will develop at their own time and pace. A balance of focused educational activities, independent free play and opportunities to relax, are provided each day.


To promote social skills, children participate in group time, either a small or large group, or on a one-to-one basis with a member of staff.


Children are encouraged to be as independent as possible and staff are always on hand to help with potty/toilet training.
